Oh hello there.

My name is Tim Hicks and I'm a product designer. Lately I've been focused on building digital things like apps and games, but I also dabble in the physical world with art and woodworking. I'm formally trained as an industrial designer and illustrator, but my childhood dream was to be an artist. My mom still thinks I might. 🥰 I'm good with my hands and I don't take myself too seriously.

LastPass

2019 - Present

LastPass is a marketplace leading password manager and business identity provider. For the past 4+ years I've been working on the LastPass Admin Console, the core interface for IT admin to control their organization's LastPass instance. My role has included everything from user research and defining project prioritization to designing information architecture, feature designs, and rollout strategies.

Given this is a security product and the sensitive nature of the work I've been doing, there is no publically viewable case study at the moment.

Prompt AI

2017 - 2018

Prompt AI is an employee self-service tool designed to answer frequent questions and solve common technical issues. It uses machine learning and employee feedback to help curate content and suggest improvements.

Seeit 2.0

2017

Seeit is a tool that allows remote technicians to assist with troubleshooting and repairs, without traveling on-site or to their customer's location. By using a smartphone camera and lightweight web app, technicians can see exactly what's wrong and help fix it.

join.me is an online meeting tool designed to provide quick and seamless meetings so everyone can be more productive. Unlike other online meeting tools, join.me is focused on simplicity and ease of use so you remain the star of your meeting.

Crayta Games

2020-2023

Crayta was a collaborative game creation platform that released in July 2020 and was shut down in March 2023. During those roughly 2.5 years, I built 40 games that gained a collective ~210K plays. I also built hundreds of demos, packages, and blueprints for the community. Before the servers shut down, I recorded videos of my games and I've highlighted a few of them here.

2019

Super Speed Shot Deluxe (SSSD) is a free mobile game I designed and built for Android in my spare time. The game is a casual endless runner with time bending mechanics, hundreds of customizations, and dozens of upgrades to unlock.

Word Shift

2018

Word Shift is a mobile puzzle game that was slated for Android and iOS release in 2019 but was abandoned due to the SDK being shut down. As this was a personal side project, I was solely responsible for all of the design and development.
